READY!

Am posting this a little later than I had planned. A lot of things happened - two main things were my husband's birthday weekend and my little princess had turned into a feverish koala. So I couldn't go to work or do anything, basically. But she's better now, except that she's starting having heat rashes. I think it's those excess heat leaving her body. Poor thing. So I had to keep my updates short via Instagram (while she was sleeping atop of me). And if you've been following my Instagram account, then you'll know that the Coloured Compliment Cards are ready! ALL HUNDRED PIECES OF THEM! Yeay!

My mother had already taken some pieces from me to give out. And I've also given out quite a few to my colleagues. I've even given them to a pregnant lady that I saw at a bus stop! I remember spotting her shoes first. She was wearing the most adorable TSUM TSUM + TOMS shoes (click for image here) and I was like "I want one of those!". Of course, I didn't go all creepy on her and said that. But I did approach her, saying "Excuse me? Can I give you this card? I like your shoes by the way. They're really cute!". She said thanks and my bus arrived just in time before the feeling of wanting to hide my head in the group came over me. I really don't know why I get that feeling. I guess I'm a shy type of extrovert. Does that make sense?

MOVING ON.

If you do happen to receive a Compliment Card, please do remember to share it on your Instagram, say how you got it, where you got it, when you got it, who gave it to you, etc. Remember to add the hashtag #projectforthesoul or even tag @projectforthesoul. It would be great to know how many people have these Compliment Cards reached and how far. I would be SO happy if these cards actually went beyond the borders of the tiny red dot that I live in.

OR. If you do not have Instagram account, share it on Twitter or Facebook. Or if you're a really private person who does have all those social media accounts but it's private and I most likely won't be able to see it... Then just comment on the post below. And yes, you can post as an Anonymous user. So please do share! I look forward to seeing all your posts!

Until next time..

Have an awesome Friday and great weekend, everybody!

Colour.

Compliment Cards are now in... COLOUR!

Have gotten some feedback about how the trial versions were a little too black-and-white so I decided to add colour to them - basically printed them on coloured paper. And the messages are a little more stranger-friendly (i.e. less creepy) so no more "I like your earrings!" type of messages which might make the person receiving the card feel a little weird. And more messages like, well, as shown in the picture above.

CAN'T WAIT FOR IT BE READY!

Cause I got a little over excited and decided to make ONE HUNDRED pieces.

By the way, these cards are handmade. I design them, then have them printed, and cut into nice rectangles, placed in laminating sheets to be laminated. Then I cut the laminated cards nicely, making sure that there are no sharp edges so that people don't get cut handling the cards. While it sounds pretty easy to do, I also have a mobile toddler (she's a toddler already!) on my hands, which makes the process not as easy. So as much as I want them to be ready fast, it won't be. Sobs. But, be patient, Za. Good things come to those who wait. Or was it, patience is a virtue? Whichever will do.

I've even posted an Instagram story about these cards. HA! First time using that feature - it was fun! Hope you guys have seen it, before it expires!

HAVE AN AWESOME WEEKEND, everybody!

30.

I'm very happy and excited to share that the Compliment Cards are ready! Yeay! Well, they were ready on August 1st, but I had only started giving them out yesterday.

And I've mentioned in my Instagram post countless of times that I am excited yet nervous about this. Cause it would involve me talking to strangers and giving them these cards. I guess they would think of me as some kind of weirdo. They might or might not think of me that way, so might as well be a kind weirdo, no? Pun totally intended.

I gave the first one to my mother actually. Oops. But the best part is that she gave it to someone else that very same day! She mentioned about how the lady, sitting with her friends, kept looking back at my her and was smiling. And I told myself that if my mother could do it, why can't I? So I did. THIS MORNING. I almost didn't cause I was so bloody nervous, truth be told. I was taking UberPool to work today, and I shared it with a lady named Jess (if I remembered it correctly). And before she dropped off at her destination, I gave her this:

Cause the best time to give this particular card is in the morning, right? Well, I hope she liked it. Not sure if she has shared or will share it with her friends. I hope she does, though. Hee!

Initially, the title of this post was "Compliments" cause I had wanted to start talking about the Compliment Cards that were ready. BUT something just happened which totally made my day. I'VE HIT 30 FOLLOWERS ON MY INSTAGRAM! WOOHOO!

Thank you, thank you, thank youuuuuu! I actually had this message as one of the Compliment Cards but since I am not able to meet every single one of you, I'll send a virtual one right here:

Yes, you did. You definitely, definitely did. Thank you! Now, I'll have a huge smile on my face for the rest of the day. THANK YOU!
