Truth to be told, I didn't know there were RAKtivists. And so loving the play on words. I applied to be a RAKtivist and application approved! Woot woot. Not that I needed an official application to be a one. Anybody can be RAKtivist - it just takes kindness and initiative. I decided to apply cause it's nice to be a part of global community where you can connect with others of the same intention. Plus they have weekly Kindness Missions; which is emailed out monthly. And the best part is how there are thousands of RAKtivists all over the world; imagine every single one of them commits an act of kindness every month. Like, wow.
I'm so excited to be part of this world movement. Although there are Kindness Missions, I don't have to wait till the email comes in for me to carry out an act of kindness. I mean, it's free! And it makes others feel good, which in turn, makes me feel good about myself too! It's a win-win situation really. The key is to... Start small. Start with your family or your friends or your colleagues. Then start branching out to people you meet on the street, that waiter/waitress, the bus driver, etc. You never know; you might just make someone's day.
So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to start small. And work my way out. *inhales*
I. Can. Do. This!
